HORSESHOE USED FOR PICKET PIN
This is Civil War period Horseshoe dug in the Battle of Shiloh area.This has been sharpened so it could be driven into a tree to tie a horse up when the soldier lost his picket pin.You can see where it was hammered on the back of the shoe. Good Iron item with a good patina as pictured.
