CIVIL WAR PERIOD RHODE ISLAND BELT PLATE This is what I am told is a Civil War Period Rhode Island Belt Plate.This plate is cast brass and is gilted.Nice Item with no damage and has the keeper as pictured.Has an anchor with B's on each side of it.I can't find this plate listed in any book but was told by an expert it may be a R.I. Cadet Buckle.It has the same devise as Rhode Island Buttons.
