This is a Pre Civil War Period Eagle Belt Plate.This plate still has the hooks and the loop on the back.Nice Earlier Item with a Great patina and no damage.Has EXCELSIOR instead of E PLURIBUS UNUM and Looks to be #165 in O'Donnell and Campbell's book.
